Today I was looking through my videos I took at the gym this year and found one from a month ago. I was dismantling and removing the abused and damaged stand for the heavybag/speedbag. This was in the corner of the turf room at Catalyst Fitness. The owner asked me to stop repairing it after the last emergency surgery I performed. This might have been when the eye hook popped out of the top arm and I forced a stronger one back in.
This time the bottom support was completely broke off and the eye-hook holding the heavybag was completely out of the top arm.
I will miss kicking and punching it for my martial art drills. It wasn’t the best arrangement in regards to the floor supports which prevented one from moving around the bag very far. In its defense. it really wasn’t meant for intense kicking and punching that I and others performed on it.
