The best cardio workout I’ve had was the Group Blast fitness class. It’s part of the Mossa suite of group fitness classes and includes Power, Centergy and Active. I started taking it at Spiece Fitness around 2016 and continued taking it at Catalyst Fitness when they introduced it in 2022. At Spiece it was already an established class and you could take it twice a week which I did. Ten to 25 people were in each class at Spiece.
After I joined Catalyst Fitness, they added Group Blast on Saturdays and Wednesdays. We never had a lot of people but once in a while we had six to eight. The Saturday class eventually was the only class and many times it was just me or me and another person or two. The owner finally closed the class because of low attendance. I feel we didn’t have a fair chance because at the same time cycle class met upstairs. Members preferred this class because it’s easier. Blast is a fast-paced, feet on the ground workout. It works your lower body and cardiovascular system. I can’t remember exactly which class was first at the 8 am spot, but it probably was cycle. Maybe we should have done blast at a different time. You have to do it when the instructor can meet and maybe Grace only had that time available. She also taught Active just before so maybe that’s why she did Blast at 8am.
