Friday I was in the locker room and a member asked me about the Yoga Flow class I took that morning.  He walks laps at our gym right by the doors of our classroom.  We discussed that he wanted to improve his flexibility and how he was getting older and it was time to start.  Yoga Flow is a great class for anyone of any age and is available to all Catalyst Fitness members.  I told the member to start the class and go to every one of them.  Go at his pace and don’t compare himself to the people who’ve been doing this longer.  The classes are mostly women but men need to been in there, too.

I am really glad men are asking me about our Yoga classes because Yoga has helped me over the years.  One thing that is helping the class get known is Milinda instructing with her humor and high-energy.  She makes the hard work we do worth it by encouraging us and making us laugh.  Another thing we do is keep both doors open to the main classroom.  It lets the members walking by see us in the class and creates curiosity.  The music during Yoga class should also bring attention to the class.  It’s not typical, sleepy Yoga music but inspirational and energetic.

The member wanted to know the class time and it is Tuesday and Friday mornings at 515AM to 615.  It’s ok to be late or leave early.  Sometimes I’m late to class and sometimes I leave early.  Come out and join Milinda and the Yoga Flow Class and get younger with us!
