When I exercise and strengthen my lower body with weights,  I don’t forget my calves.  Spiece Fitness has three specific calf weight machines from Body Masters, Precor and others which I use. I also use the many leg presses for calf exercises by keeping the knees locked and just flexing the foot at the ankles.   A similar exercise can be done on a Smith machine which holds the bar captive in a weight rack. I stand  on a Step, hold the bar and lift with the calves.  The step is an integral part of group Blast class at Spiece.  You can stand with your feet at various angles to hit the different parts of the calf.
