I practice martial arts 4 to 6 days a week and one of the tools I use is the heavybag.  There’s one at Basches and one at Spiece Fitness. They hang from the ceiling or from a support arm mounted on a wall.   They allow me to kick and punch hard as I want and not hurt a person.  I like to circle them as I punch and kick so the heavybag sways like a pendulum all over.  This is more realistic like a real fight with a person.  Another tool is a stationary target on a stand like Bob the Bully in Martial Arts schools.   The one at my current gym is called the wave master and has a variable height target which I raise as high as I can so I can kick higher.
